They don’t work very well. I have hardwood floors and the best thing that I have found a Shark. It is a bare floor vacuum that when you detach the handle it becomes a Dustbuster. It has a flat hose attachment for cleaning underneath and in between spaces. I found mine for $20 at Target. Just empty the dust cup and about once a week (Depending on how much you use it) rinse off the dust cup and let dry overnight.
